Hello ladies I woke up today and was bleeding, bright red slight clot and got really upset and worried, went to epu and had a scan baby boys heartbeat visable and all seemed well didn't seem to be any bleeding inside or anything and was told it could be a burst vessel, has anybody experienced this at all and gone on to have a normal pregnancy after, it's really shaken me up x

I had pink bleeds at 15, 17 & 18 and the doctors are very reassuring if they find the heartbeat which means it’s not coming from the baby. Have two friends who are currently pregnant and also had unexplained bleeds between 12-20 weeks...it seems strangely common yet very few people talk about it so it’s terrifying when it happens!

I really suspect it was a blood vessel because around that time the uterus/cervix stretches quite a bit. I had frequent round ligament pains, and noticed the bleeding happened on days when I walked around a lot (perhaps friction & gravity contributed to it). The bleeding went away completely around the time my ligament/stretching pains did (end of second trimester) and the pregnancy has been perfectly fine since (38wks)!
