pregnancy after miscarriage

Hello, im just wondering if anyone can help.

I had a natural miscarriage about 4 weeks ago and i have taken a digital pregnancy test today as i am very impatient and it has came up positive saying 1-2 weeks. I have read up that you add 2 weeks onto that so would be about 3 weeks pregnant if right. However could this just be from left over HCG levels as i don’t want to get my hopes up thinking that it is when it may not be.

Sorry for your loss. Yes, it could be leftover HCG from the first pregnancy. If so, the HCG levels will decline and you'll eventually get a negative result, which at least means you know where you stand. Test once a week for a while and see what happens. Good luck!
