I have an anterior placenta but up until today I've felt baby moving quite a lot and some very very strong kick at least once every couple of hours.

Haven't felt a thing today and have been lay on my left side for 90 mins now trying to concentrate and still nothing. My midwife hasn't responded to my calls or texts but I called the hospital and they said they weren't too worried but I could go in later if I wanted peace of mind.

I'm 99% going to go to in once I've posted this tbh but I am wondering what you would do? And if anyone's been in a similar position.

My nephew was stillborn at 37 weeks so I guess I am very panicked about this but I feel it's worth being over cautious where baby is concerned?!!

Go in! For your own peace of mind it’s worth it. You’re not wasting anyone’s time

Helbelle75 · 17/12/2018 12:19

Definitely go. Without hesitation.
I went in several times for reduced movement and each time things were fine, but the midwives said I was right to go in.
Let us know how you get on.

Go to the hospital NOW !

seastargirl · 17/12/2018 12:22

Go go go! No point in waiting about, I'm sure all will be fine, but just get checked.

Smurfybubbles · 17/12/2018 12:39

100% go!!! They would rather see you and confirm baby is ok than the alternative.

sirmione16 · 17/12/2018 12:46

If you're in the UK you should have a urgent helpline number on the front of your maternity book to ring. They advise always to call regarding lack of movement, just to be on the safe side and will get you in to see someone within the hour generally.

thank you all, I've just got back from the hospital. I did get the impression they were cross at me for going in but it was worth it as my little girl is doing fine! She's started moving again now so I think she was just having a lazy day.

Thank you all again x

Great news op x

Smurfybubbles · 17/12/2018 18:33

Brilliant news!!! Never feel guilty about going to get these things checked out xx

ScarletGlow · 17/12/2018 19:08

They would be wrong to get cross at you for that - you followed the right advice. Glad she is OK :)
