I'm 8 weeks pregnant
And I'm starving!
I can't remember the last time I had a meal that filled me up or I actually enjoyed 😩
Don't get me wrong I've been eating but morning sickness is killing me..
I'm so bored of feeling sick
I'm not even 1/3 of the way through my first pregnancy how the hell am I gonna survive!!
Just needed to get that off my chest haha I know I'm moaning and probably not as bad as some people are/have been but I think I deserve the right to moan a little bit.. anyone else felt/feeling the same?

Hi hun,

Just to let you know what ur going fru is exactly what I want fru n worse. I was anxious always hungry and I was very lucky with food. Honestly I didn't enjoy first or second trimester however last trimester was great until backache.

I will advise you that you should take prrhmavate tablets they will help as all the nutrients u need is in the tablets. Have any fruits you love as it's healthy for the baby.

I personally enjoyed fried chips, with beans and lettuce the first few weeks. Fresh fruits helped. I know it's hard I felt like leaving my husband many times becoz I was angry that the good I was having wasn't filling. I also kept peeing every 10mins.

Hang in there. All will get better.

In my first pregnancy I felt hungry all the time and if I didn't eat something I felt sick. I used to eat dry crackers and this seemed to help.
This pregnancy, I didn't get those symptoms but instead I have been extremely gassy and have round ligament pain. I'm 19 weeks and I really hope the gassiness passes soon as it's making me feel really unwell.
You have my sympathies OP.

You have every right to moan about morning sickness. It's awful! I had it really bad with both of my pregnancies so know how you're feeling.

Just eat whatever you fancy. My midwife told me that I shouldn't worry too much about eating a balanced diet as baby will take from you what it needs. Which was good news for me as all I could eat was cream cheese sandwiches and satsumas for about two weeks!

It will pass. Just rest as much as possible. Tiredness made it worse for me. The first trimester is by far the worst. I'm now feeling sorry for myself for different reasons...39 weeks pregnant and fed up of waiting to meet my baby! Desperately want this baby born before Christmas!!

Anyway, good luck! Smile

Im on my third and worse pregnancy so far, I was miserable, felt like the worst human being because I felt bad on everyone that I couldn't function, I was EXHAUSTED, hungry but couldn't eat, morning sickness and constant nausea, I lost weight, I snapped at everyone..
I'm 13 weeks now I can eat! Can't get enough bread, I'm still tired but I can cope, still sick most morning but the nausea has eased massively and just generally feel a million times better..
It'll pass and it'll be worth it!

At 8 weeks, I was the same. I wasn’t hungry all the time, but very frequently, and the moment it happened it was a race to work out what on earth I could tolerate eating, to find it, and to get it inside me. And yes, it becomes very boring.

You will probably find that it eases in a few weeks. At 11 weeks, I generally felt less sick, and after 12 weeks I both often felt better and began to have both a little bit of time between starting to feel hungry and being absolutely required to eat straight away, and a little bit of choice in what I could eat (not free choice! But anything was an improvement).

At my worst, I wasn’t getting dressed, and would lie on the floor waiting for DH to prepare the exact food I needed in the correct way and bring it to me. (Poor DH. He has been so patient and obliging.) I couldn’t really do anything until I’d been fed. I would wake up between 4.00 and 6.00 and have to eat breakfast straight away (I’m still doing the waking, at nearly 14 weeks, but now I can often get back to sleep, and I can wait, like, 10 minutes for breakfast when I do get up!) or I’d start gagging.

It really should get better for you in a few weeks. But this bit is the worst, and you have all of my sympathy.

One more moan here, I'm 8 weeks pregnant and the last 2 weeks have been hell. I'm nauseous all the time, can't eat which makes me even more sick, and I lost 6 kilos in those 2 weeks. But all I hear from family/doctors/work is that "everyone gets a morning sickness so you have to get on with it".
I'm currently sat here crying after waking up at 5 feeling sick, and the idea of 4, 8 or however many more weeks like this fills me with dread.

Oh! I made a rule! I was allowed to eat exactly what I wanted, as long as it was possible to obtain it and it wasn’t a banned food (from the list of food to avoid in pregnancy, or containing gluten as I’m allergic). I was also allowed to leave anything I wanted, even if I’d thought only a moment earlier that it was perfect.

It wasn’t a healthy diet, but I always felt less bad when I’d eaten, and it is more important to eat something than to eat healthy food. My “off button”, which told me when to stop eating, was very reliable (oh, the bloating! Woe! And lamentations!), so I didn’t eat too much of the bad stuff.

waiting for DH to prepare the exact food I needed in the correct way and bring it to me.

LOL this is exactly me, my poor husband!

I’m sick of feeling rubbish too. Really not enjoying pregnancy, can’t wait to just feel normal again. I can’t wait to be excited about cooking nice healthy food again without worrying about smells!

Started having tummy ache/discomfort today (round ligament pain...?) and I’m also full of cold, and I’d just like to go to the gym and blow off some steam, but I can’t 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry to be such a moaner!!!! But like everyone is saying OP, that first third is meant to be the worst and it’s nearly over for you, so chin up you’ll soon feel fab :) x

Hang in there!! You will hey through it! I am also pregnant with my first and it has been one irritation after the other! 38 weeks now so the end is in sight! We are hoping to have another ASAP though so it is manageable!
