Just had a panic attack

I had less than two hours sleep last night, then worked all day today, and then had an argument with my DP, which brought on what I think was a panic attack. I was crying uncontrollably and couldn't breath, and I had to pull over. It lasted around 10 minutes. I tried ringing my midwife but there is no answer. Have I harmed my baby? I'm 36 weeks pregnant.

I'm so worried the baby didn't get enough oxygen whilst I was having it because I could hardly breathe myself Sad

No not at all. Your baby will be fine, they're resilient.
Do you have a number for the maternity unit at your local hospital? Not sure if it's the same everywhere but they told me to call there if I had any questions at all. Might help for peace of mind Smile

I suffer panic disorder and anxiety although i have been better for the past 2 years i still suffer panic attacks sometimes.

im pregnant with my 4th and at the start of this pregnancy i had them 24 /7 bloody hormones.

however my little girl is doing perfectly fine they get all they need dont worry if you want advice from nhs then phone them as that's what they are there for but honestly your baby will be ok x

@BumbleeBeeMe
Sorry iv only just seen this, I have been asleep for an age, all of my energy has been zapped I think Confused
Thankyou for your kind words, I feel a lot better now, I called my maternity hospital however it just rang out, it must be a particularly busy night for babies in my city!
Iv felt lots of kicks so feel at ease for tonight, however will call my midwife tomorrow for advice.

Congrats too you to hun and be kind to yourself... pregnancy is such a beautiful but strange thing it plays havoc with our body and brain.

honestly harder to do but if you feel yourself going into one don't tense up it makes it worse just try and relax put tv on and dont think its there just try ignore it as feeding into it makes it worse just try your hardest to breathe through it and not hyperventilate it just freaks us out more lol xxx
