FTM Advice Needed

Hi all - I am 35 weeks pregnant and a few days ago I had a growth scan and was told that my baby girl's growth had slowed down and that if it doesn't pick up I will be induced before 37 weeks. I am so nervous as I obviously want my little one to be in good health. Has anyone else been through this and can share their experiences?
They also told me to closely monitor baby's movements, which I have been, and keep getting myself worked up when she has a quiet spell (probably just sleeping!)
Also - over the last couple of days I have been ridiculously hormonal (cried today because I can no longer reach to clean the toilet), I have had on/off period like cramps and keep getting very sharp pains in the mid/lower part of my bump... what's going on here?

I would really appreciate any advice or shared experiences

Thanks x

Ring the number on the front of your notes and explain the pains to the midwife. It is always better to get things check out. Do it now.

My growth slowed with my first, much earlier than 35 weeks but around the same time, they thought I had gone into labour from the pains and tightening a I was getting. I was out on a CTG machine and thankfully it calmed but it's is always worth getting checked.

If the growth has slowed there can be problems with the placenta and movements or any kind of changes are ALWAYS worth checking. You will never waste any ones time. EVER.

In terms of being induced early. My DS was born at 36 weeks, he was small, 4lb, very long and skinny, he'd grown but not got any meat on his homes at all. We spent around 10- 15 days in the hospital/SCBU in total, and had (very) regular weight checks for the first year. He's 17 months now and other than the fact he's a little bit shorter than other kids his age, and he is still super skinny, he's hit all his milestones at the right time, and you'd never know he was early or tiny.
