Help - being induced

Hi again!

So after struggling with a doctor at the hospital and practically begging to be taken seriously (he made out like I was exaggerating everything), I had a scan that showed my baby hadn’t grown much, if at all, since October and they can’t explain the bleeding. On top of that, I’ve had three trips to the hospital in the past 6 days alone due to reduced movements.

Anyways, after the scan yesterday they immediately tried a sweep but couldn’t properly reach my cervix without causing me pain (in my notes it says 1cm dilated because she could only reach with the tip of her middle finger). While doing this I was also booked in for a next day induction, with the midwife saying it needs to be started/he needs to be born in the next 48 hours. But I’ve been reading up and it can take days to start labour.

Does anyone have any advice or further knowledge in this area? I’m 38 weeks today, have had reduced movements (7/8 in total), bleeding, stopped growth and I also have group b strep and yesterday regular contractions that seemed to have stopped.
