hello, just wondered if anyone had any advice. i am 37 +4 weeks pregnant with baby no 2 which is a large baby and strangers keep kindly asking me if its twins or more! the problem is my tummy is so stretched it has become shiny and incredably sore (feels like sunburn) obviously this gets worse as the day goes on and i am stood up due to extra weight. would love to lie down all day but have an active 2 year old son so not really an option. have tried various creams which give relief for a moment. has anyone else felt like this and what did u do? really hoping my body will twig that i can not stretch anymore and have this baby soon! if i dont i thnk i may just burst!!

try calamine to soothe and when you can,let the air get to your belly, and a cold flannel can help too

not much else for it really !

Sorry to hear about your tum. I've slapped bio-oil on throughout my pg (38+1) and it seems to have helped keep my skin supple (tho of course have no idea what would have happened without!). Anyway, it hasn't irritated my skin. Other things could be more 'medicinal' creams like Oilatum? Good luck...

This reminded me of my pregnancy with ds and a year later with dd. I thought I would burst too and I can remember the sun-burn feel you mentioned. It's such a relief when you've given birth - it made it all more bearable (2 natural births with no pain relief at all) because I knew my skin would not be streached anymore and I was getting my bladder back too! It didn't even bother my that the tummy skin went all pizza-dough like just after the birth!
