Placenta previa light bleed - when will it end?

Hi. I'm 33+4 with placenta previa. I was admitted to hospital early hours Thursday morning with what is considered a lightish bleed for this condition however im still bleeding. Nothing major. They dont seem overly concerned. My stats are fine baby seems unaffected which is just the best news.

I know we are in the right place and have to stay put until the bleeding has stopped and been stopped 48hours i'm noe just starting to wonder if it will.

Anyone been through similar?

I've not been through it yet but I'm 18 weeks and have been diagnosed with complete placenta previa which my consultant says is very unlikely to move. As I have a history of preterm birth (ds born at 29 weeks) I'm stretch concerned about it.
34 weeks is a very good gestation; you sound unlikely to have the baby soon but even if you did it's late enough that baby is likely to be fine. I can totally understand that its a scary time right now though.
I've joined a placenta previa support group on fb which I highly recommend.
Let us know how you get on. Are you scheduled for a c-section at 37 weeks?

Thanks kate. Yes ive had my steroids for babys lungs so that is great. I think mine is complete and anterior but the good news is the consultant thinks the bleed may be a sign its moving.

I am booked for a csection at 37+1 and at thw last scan was warned it would have to be under general due to where the placenta is and risk if bleeding so be great if it is moving.

This is my 4th pregnancy had 2 mmcs and a stillbirth. They think its probably treatment i had to remove mmcs that has caused the placenta previa.
