Hi all, never posted on here before but I am driving myself crazy thinking about this! So I was approached about a new job, which I have now accepted. We have been trying for our second baby for 6 months and as I am 39 and already having a miscarriage earlier in the year I am keen not to take a break in trying.
I had a brief discussion with them on this before I accepted the position, to which they said they appreciated my honesty. However, I am questioning if I should have a few months break of trying or just go with it.
Advice or similar stories is much appreciated.

I'm about 6weeks pregnant at the moment and between jobs (long story) and from speaking to others who have jumped jobs whilst pregnant or got pregnant when they are in a probationary period the company can refuse maternity pay. I've found they usually need you to work there 6 months before falling pregnant so it's worth talking to your new boss about that as that is the only thing that may cause you problems other than that you are completely protected by law! It's just about weighing up weather statutory maternity pay will be enough for you or not!

I think if they are aware of the situation and agreed to hire you regardless than why put your life on hold! Congrats on your new job x
