Overweight and pregnant? When will I show

So im 12 weeks today and was just wondering if there was any other ladies on here that are and would like to share when they first got their bump. I'm a size 12 and can't see nothing yet!

I was worried about this as I was too. It all depends on your shape.... I’m hour glass shaped and started showing at around 20 weeks. I just looked bloated before then but I’ve always been fortunate to have a flat stomach, just huge hips and boobs

yeah I would say Im the same my stomach is pretty flat I just have big hips and boobs lol hopefully I show soon :) thanks for the reply

Since when has size 12 been overweight? Unless you are very, very short.

Is a size 12 overweight?! 🙈 I was a 10/12 and was bloated a bit up to 16 weeks ish then I had a nice bump by 20 weeks

I wouldn’t class size 12 as overweight!!! I’m a 10-12 and started showing st around 21 weeks.

well according to my doctor I am over weight which I was surprised by. I'm not slim but certainly wouldn't consider myself fat. and I am short! I am 5ft 1 so maybe thats why.

Well, I’m size 16, 12+5, and I look perhaps a tiny bit more pregnant than that. It’s ridiculous. I have some fat on my stomach, and it is being pushed out by bloating and, I think, the actual baby a bit (I didn’t look this big two weeks ago!). I don’t usually have a flat stomach, as you might be able to guess. I have mostly looked possibly pregnant for the past few years, but this is something else. Hopefully they’ll find quadruplets at the scan tomorrow (3 of whom were hiding at the last scan), so I’ll have an excuse for this ridiculousness.

I'm a size 12, 5'3 and weigh 11st6lb... That's definitely overweight with a BMI of 28.

OP, as above, I'm also 14+6 weeks and am not even nearly showing yet. I look the same. I do have a retroverted uterus though which I've read delays you from showing.

Size 14 here, bloated until 16 weeks bump appeared after. I'm also an hourglass

Size 20 I was 26 weeks before obviously pregnant. You're not big at a size 12 though!

I'm a size 16, 19+5, and am only really starting to show, although I still just look bloated some days.

Size 22/24, 5ft2 and I could tell something was there from about 15 weeks. Im 32 now and you can very much see the difference, i wouldnt worry about it (i know easier said than done all i wanted was a bump haha)

I'm 5 foot 2, and a 12-14, and am just into the obese category!!
Second time round I've had a bump that's noticeable to me by about 8 weeks, and difficult to hide by the 12 week scan. In maternity clothes from 10 weeks.

I'm classes as obese according to my BMI but everyone is very shocked when I say it. I'm certainly carrying some extra timber but nothing past bring a bit chubby. I'm 13 weeks and am starting to show with a teeny tiny bump, to the rest of the 2orld I probably just look a bit like I've eaten too much.

I’m overweight, 5’8 and a 16/14 top/bottom and I look visibly pregnant at 17+1 and have done since 12 weeks.

This is my 5th pregnancy (4th baby) though so I think it’s a combination of that and not having to hold myself in anymore!😂

I love posts about bumps I must say but at 20 weeks for me it became so heavy and I used to be 7 stone - I feel like a hippo trying to get out of bed! I can’t wait to get my body back and rid of this bump.

That said I want most of the baby weight to stay, I needed it really x

I was a small size 12 when pregnant with DD and I suddenly popped out with her at 16 weeks. First baby too. This time I’m a size 22 and not expecting to show anytime soon.
