I'm terrified, I've just had a small bleed, I'm 9.5 weeks and this is my first pregnancy, midwife says not to panic (yeah right) she has booked me in for a scan tomorrow, of course I'm totally stressed out!!!! the bleed was only small, pinkish not bright red and I haven't had any cramps or pains, has anyone else had a similar experience?

A small bleed is very normal in the early stages. I wouldn't worry and just have the scan, i am sure everything is ok.

I know people who have bled and who have gone on to have normal pregnancies.
Fingers crossed.

I know that saying 'don't worry' won't help at all, but it really is very common. I had no bleeding when I had a missed miscarriage, but had early bleeding with the pregnancies that resulted in my 2 DC. - With DS, it was quite a lot of bleeding, and cramps too. Try to stay calm, and see how your scan goes. Good luck {positive vibes emoticon}

Hi VP
Bleeding is VERY common, especially in early pg. Its positive that it was only pink and you are having no cramps and pains.
I know its going to be a hard day but try not to worry- everything will be fine tomorrow.

It is common to have a small bleed that has nothing to do with the pregnancy, its a good sign too to not be getting cramps. Good luck for scan

Also come and join us on the January 08 antenatal thread, there is a few on there that has been through similar early bleeding and they would give you a lot of support x
