Will blood loss during childbirth last pregnancy affect this one?

Long story short last year I was induced and after birth my uterus didn't contract back down and I lost 1.5 litres of blood. I know others have had a lot worse but I was anaemic and for the first two weeks I couldn't walk. I was really stupid and offered a transfusion but declined it. I'm due baby number two next year, two years after I've had my first child but I'm not sure what the procedure is as I haven't met the consultant yet. My midwife told me I'm a high risk because of this blood loss but will that mean I'll need induced or c section again?? If anyone has any idea or experience, I'd be so grateful if you shared what happened the next time for you.

No it doesn’t mean you’ll need an induction or c section. It just means you’ll be on a consultant unit and they will give you a cannula in your hand ready to give you any drugs you may need quickly to stop the bleeding happening again

Exactly the same happened to me with my first, I had a 1.5l loss with no offer of a transfusion and suffered for months afterwards because of it.
I’m now 30 weeks with baby number 2. I got told that I was high risk at my 16 week appointment due to the blood loss. All it has meant so far is that I had one appointment with the consultant. She explained that I was a high risk birth, not pregnancy. She seemed to say the only difference will be that I will be monitored by the consultant more closely during labour, a cannula will be put in early on just in case and they will have other injections to stop blood loss at the ready.
The consultant also said that just because it happened once doesn’t mean it will happen again and they therefore wouldn’t induce or c-section for it.

Good god...I lost approx 1.8l and I was told it would be best for a transfusion (didn’t think I had an option 😮 all hospitals must be different I suppose 🤷‍♀️
