Yellow face

Currently 16+5weeks. This pregnancy has been fine so far. Im on aspirin and havent been great taking prenatal vitamins but my diet isnt too bad.

I just noticed this morning that the skin on my face has turned slightly yellow - almost a bad attempt at a yellow self tan or makeup . Normally I've quite pale skin.
I have a GP appointment for the morning.

I am just wondering if anyone else has had similar. The whites of my eyes are fine, urine is normal and don't have any itching and feel well besides some tiredness ( but I've a badly sleeping toddler and work full time)

I'd ring them. Yellow skin is a sign of liver problems and jaundice. If you are itchy too, it is another indicator. I would be even more important to get checked over.

*It not I

Google "mask of pregnancy".

Classic song of liver issues. How about the whites of your eyes?

BelleEtoile · 12/12/2018 11:06

Thanks ChocolateStash. No definitely not itching and the yellow tinge is just on my face. The Mask of Pregnancy looks sort of similar but it seems more brown than yellow.

Needs to be seen! Get a GP appt today if not go to out of hours or the gynae unit at your local hospital. Most likely nothing but they’d want to see you just to make sure

BelleEtoile · 12/12/2018 11:12

Whites of eyes are normal

I got told I looked yellow in the face the other day Hmm I’m 15 weeks x

Spooples · 12/12/2018 18:19

Could be your vitamins. They turned my skin (particularly knees) yellow for about 6 weeks early on. Back to normal now. Still worth getting checked out though.

Thanks everyone. Doctor didn't seem too concerned. Getting blood tests done tomorrow to be on the safe side.

Are you itchy?
Good you are getting tests tomorrow

BelleEtoile · 18/12/2018 20:18

Blood tests came back fine. No itching and I feel well.
