15 weeks - UTI and feeling like crap

Evening!

I’m going to be 15 weeks tomorrow and have generally felt like crap since 6 weeks. When people tell me “it’ll get better” I feel like punching them in the face. Every day I’m feeling more nauseous and vomiting at least once a day.

Went to the GP last night who’s confirmed I’ve got a UTI...and has signed me off for 2 weeks (thank god). Anyone else having any symptoms like this??? I’m praying that I start to feel better coming up to Christmas. At the moment the thought of eating turkey turns my stomach!!!

I hate being a ranting pregnant lady but I was expecting this to be a walk in the park.......anyone else?

I’m 15 weeks and I feel like utter shit , I’m as exhausted as I was in first trimester and completely drained I’m struggling to work. im lucky sickness has gone but Where’s this second trimester energy burst Hmm hope your symptoms ease up for you soon x

I know it’s so frustrating! You wait it out until 12 weeks thinking things will change!! I know it’s awful to say but I’m glad others are feeling the same Sad and it’s not just me! Pregnancy can be a lonely place! I hope your symptoms ease too x

Yes exactly! It’s fine I keep reading stuff online saying you should feel great now I felt like I was the only one ! Maybe you could try the sickness tablets you can get off your gp ? X

Yeah I did ask him last night but he said I need to take these antibiotics for the water infection first as the sickness might be linked to that...I’m not convinced!! Do you feel like you’re never gna feel normal again?? I think that’s the worst bit of it x

See if when your finished the sickness is still there if it is then I’d ask for the tablets no way could I put up with M/S for that long. Yeah I know what you mean but I keep reminding myself how lucky I am an try to look forward to feeling kicks and having a lovely bump...it is hard though !! xxx

I completely agree with you both! I feel like I’m forever ranting - I think I’ve had every pregnancy symptom going and I’m 22 weeks. I still haven’t had that second trimester energy burst - I’m still drained! MS was awful but I’m just dealing with naesua now (not great but manageable) the sickness tablets are helping.

If your UTI isn’t linked to your sickness (i wouldn’t be convinced either!) make sure you do get some tablets there are loads out there. GPs are reluctant to prescribe them, I think I was one of the lucky ones who was given them at 8 weeks. I did loose quiet abit of weight though.

I’m now ranting about not being able to sleep and my LO jolting all over the place which is making me this crazy, twitchy lady at work Hmm it’s my first and I can’t get used to the movements yet!! Oh my god and don’t get me started on hiccups! Strangest feeling ever. I think it’s been a running joke with DP but as I was so ill in the early days and I can feel her moving along ALOT when I’m shattered or fed up.. as long as I feel like shit, she’s blossoming!

That’s the only thing what gets me through the not so nice symptoms! Hope your UTI clears up soon & congratulations on your pregnancy!
