Face washes that don’t contain vitamin e

Apparently Vitamin e isn’t safe to take lots of during pregnancy; however, my Simple face wash and moisturiser contains it. Anyone know of a substitute to use as looking around, most of the face washes and moisturisers contain it. I don’t know whether using it might have contributed to my two recurrent miscarriages, but I don’t want to take a chance with a third one. I want to use something safer in case I get a positive pregnancy test in the future.

Are you eating your face wash? Of course it is ok to use. Are you sure you aren't thinking of vitamin A?

MissL85 · 11/12/2018 07:08

The pharmacist said vitamin e and vitamin a.

That's for food supplements that you take
not for products that you use on your skin/eat in foods (although you should avoid liver/ pate due to vitamin A content)

I'm sure that the face wash you are using will be fine, but you could switch to using superdrug facewash or just using almond or olive oil.

None of Lushs products have vitamin E in them. I'm allergic to it in tocopherol form and it's in so many skin products!

I don't think it's a problem in pregnancy though. What about just using oil or soap? Then you avoid all of the other crap they usually put in liquid cleansers too.

Honestly? Your simple face wash is absolutely fine!

You're overthinking it. But why not try coconut oil? Like off the shelf in the supermarket stuff?

Fab for stretch marks... as good as bio oil

Thanks so much for all the help. I will change what I am using so that if I get pregnant a third time, I won’t be worried about it.
