Anyone ever got pregnant on the implant?

I’ve got an implant but am experiencing several pregnancy symptoms, I’ve done 2 negative pregnancy tests. Is it possible to be pregnant?
Has anyone else ever experienced this?

We generally say that positive enough for pregnancy symptoms is pregnant enough for a positive test.

It is possible to get pregnant on any form of contraception (barring sterilisation) as you would have been told or given info about when you had it put in.

The hormones in the implant can mimic pregnancy.

I hope you get the result you want.

I'm on my second implant. Had one a few years ago and was always having pregnancy symptoms. Same again this time around. I may be wrong but I think the chances of conceiving on the implant are next to nothing ?

How long have you had your implant? When mine was in I had a lot of hormonal symptoms that could have been mistaken for early pregnancy.

It’s even possible to be pregnant with standard female sterilisation unless they’ve physically removed your ovaries. In fact that’s slightly more likely than getting pregnant on the implant.

I agree with physicskate - if there were enough pg hormones in your blood to give you symptoms then it’s overwhelmingly likely that you would be getting positive pregnancy tests. Pregnant on implant is possible, but pregnant on implant with negative tests is vanishingly unlikely.

Thank you so much for the replies, that’s quite a relief. I wouldn’t be massively upset by an unplanned pregnancy right now but it’s definitely not great timing. I’ve got a dr appointment on Friday so will hopefully find out what is going on.
I have 2 kids aged 10 and 8, it is seriously bizarre how I feel exactly the same as when I was pregnant with them. Generally very unpleasantGrin
