Sweep experiences

Hi all,

I just had my first sweep at 39 weeks this afternoon.

I've had 4 contractions over the past few hours.

I was 2cm dilated at the sweep.

Can anyone tell me if contracting after a sweep is a positive sign for labour to start or can this happen and then just stop?

I think it's probably one of those things that varies for each woman. I had nothing until a day or two after and it was full on labour. Keep moving, walking, bouncing... maybe you can keep the contractions going. Good luck :)

Contractions were 5 mins apart at 11pm last night, thought I'd go To bed to get some rest and they just stopped.

So just waiting to see if they start again.
