Pelvic floor exercises - have I left it too late?

Am 37 wks today, had friends round for lunch and they asked if I'd been doing them.

Haven't done any in months - I completely forgot! What with the vitamins, the exercise, the getting stuff in for the baby, the decorating... I just forgot.

I think my muscle tone is OK now (when peeing I can stop the flow for as long as I like - TMI, sorry), but am I going to end up completely baggy? Does everyone do them except me?

Oh don't worry

We all forget until we wet ourselves or lose the car keys

It's never too late to start!

Oh you should be fine, especially if it's your first. It's good if you can get into the habit of doing them at a particular time of day, or every time the kettle boils or you stop for a red light etc.

It's probably more important to do them after the birth - as soon as you can - helps healing up and all sorts. But your midwife should nag you loads so you don't forget!

(Had so lost the plot by my 3rd child that I put post-it notes up round the house )!

And keep doing them! It's 5 years after I had DD, I'd totally got out of the habit, and I've been peeing myself with every sneeze since wk 20!
