Right, I'm fully aware this is a vacuous question, but I'm going for a reassurance scan this afternoon (7 weeks by lmp but prob 6w3 or 4d by ovulation) and they say go with a full bladder but be prepared for transvaginal scan. So, what do I wear?! Leggings and a top or a dress for easy vag access?! I think I'm so nervous, I'm worrying about the details unnecessarily...

If you wear a dress won’t you need tights too?
Go with leggings and a tunic top. Easier to put back on afterwards than tights!
Good luck

Thanks @Chocolatecake12 . The dress is long, I usually wear it without tights, just my Superga trainers xx I am leaning towards leggings x

I had an early scan and I didn't need a full bladder. But it doesn't matter what you wesr, you have to take it off. I wore a dress and tights. But it really doesn't matter. Good luck and congratulations :)

I've been doing IVF so had lots, I tend to wear a dress or long top that that I would wear with jeans anyway. They will let you undress in private and they'll be a paper sheet to cover yourself when on the chair so when they come in you're not half naked, and you keep covered during the scan. Good luck

Thanks @LillyLeaf that's really helpful to know ❤️ good luck with your IVF journey

I’d wear leggings and a top, the full bladder thing is because they may try an abdominal scan first and then do a TV if they can’t get a clear picture. You’ll empty your bladder and undress in private for a TV scan anyway.
