As it says in the subject really, with your first pregnancy, at how many weeks did you look more pregnant than fat if you'll excuse the turn of phrase!

I'm 13 weeks, and although my belly is getting bigger, I can't feel anything more solid than fat (I'm probably the slightly overweight side of average, but hardly a tubby porker!). When will be bump be more baby than lardy?

I could notice my bump at about 20 wks no one else did though.I left work at 38 wks and one of the part timers asked why i was leaving!!!

I'm a 10/12 and I could have worn a jumper at 36wks and you wouldn't have known I was pregnant. I had her 2 days later so can't say after thatSecond time around I had a decent bump about 1/2 way through

I had a pot belly about 11 weeks ish- I could notice so I took to wearing a scarf around the office to cover my tummy until people knew! It was VERY soft though and was probably due to bloatedness more than baby!

5 months

I told my class when I was 5-6 months and they were all really shocked. Not one of them had guessed, and they were 11!

With the second I was enormous much earlier.

I started showing at about 6months too. Although, I think a lot of people didn't even notice then. An acquaintance ran into me at the GP with my dd in my lap and asked "is that yours???" even though she'd seen me several times while I was preggers. That said, towards the end of it, I was MASSIVE and knocking innocent passersby over with my bump.

When I saw this thread yesterday I was going to write in and say how frustrated I was that at 20+2 or whatever I am now, I still wasn't showing. I've got a moderate build (apart from enormous boobs) and had gained quite a respectable amount of weight, but I just looked a little thicker.

All that has changed. I went to a party that very night and at least one person noticed who hadn't been told. I am now waiting for the bump to get a little bumpier, and waiting to see if it will ever stick out further than the aforementioned boobs.

7months. It didn't show at all before then.

Boredveryverybored · 26/06/2007 02:49

Some people didnt notice I was pregnant at all and were very shocked when I suddenly appeared with a baby
I started showing at around 7ish months, but bump was very small and unless I was wearing maternity clothes which seemed to make bump look more prominent you wouldn't have known I was pregnant.

Its a shame the stretchmarks didn't get told not to appear on account of such a tiny bump!

I'm 22 + 3 now and have quite a noticable bump... it seems to have been growing prodigiously since about 18 weeks until then I just looked a litle plump. I even get a seat on the tube occassionally...

However I'm only 5ft 2" and was a size 10 beforehand, so there wasn't a lot of space in any direction for it to go other than outwards.

Hd to buy maternity jeans quite early though - old jeans were quite fitted and just seemed to cut in in all the wrong places, and just decided I might as well buy some that would last and I've been SO much comfier since.

My t*ts are the biggest (in ever sense of the problem though - I was a 32 DD before all of this - now I'm a 36 F!? DH is delighted, but I think I look bloody ridiculous. Plus they hurt like hell.

My belly button seems to be disappearing though - WEIRD.

I was one of those strange women that looked pregnant almost straight away. Am a small size ten normally and pear-shaped, so the weight gain on tummy and chest was really obvious. I had to tell people at 10 wks (at work) so they didn't think I was just easting too many pies - and most of them had already guessed by that point.

I stressed it for a bit cos I thought it meant I'd put on shed loads of weight but I haven't yet - am 17 wks now and have a gorgeous little bump - all the weight has gone on the bump and boobs!

BUT i did have to start buying maternity trousers a month ago cos none of my trousers fit!
