Before I start, I just want to say that I'm very grateful to be pregnant, especially as I lost a baby just before conceiving this one. So a very happy surprise. But ...

Early pregnancy sucks! I feel so sick and nauseous and dizzy. I haven't left the house for 10 days. Can barely wash. Missed a nativity play. It's Christmas and I barely speak to my children let alone do fun things with them. The tree isn't up yet.

I just want to feel normal again!

Anyone else?!

ME!!

I want to be able to stay up past 9pm and eat a proper portion of food again. I want to eat vegetables!

BirthdayKake · 09/12/2018 11:49

Yes stack!! I'd forgotten about the ridiculously early nights. Because, you know, if I'm asleep then I can't feel sick, can I?! And I really really miss being able to eat normally. I nearly choked on the chips I threw up last night...

It's the endless cycle of feeling sick so not eating but then getting hungry and feeling more sick because I'm hungry then eating something and feeling sick. Endless feeling sick!

I tried staying up until 11 on tuesday - because I'm rockandroll - and had to have a 3 hour nap the next day.

I'm on countdown to week 12 - it gets better right?!
4 weeks to go.

SenoraSurf · 09/12/2018 12:14

Sad totally relate. To the point where I'm questioning if I would be sad or relieved if I lost this baby I'm going to hell for saying that.
I actually feel like this is torture. The constant nausea is horrific and I haven't even managed to throw up yet.
I'm 6 weeks and had this feeling for 1 week and it's getting worse every day. I was so desperate for a baby, now I feel like a naive idiot Sad

CrazyCatLady1993 · 09/12/2018 12:20

I can relate! I’m 32 weeks with twins and have felt like death the whole time so just remind yourself it’s only temporary :)

BirthdayKake · 09/12/2018 12:21

Ha, stack, that all relates. It's vile. And yes, touch wood, for me it's got better at 12-13 weeks. Bring on January!

senora please don't beat yourself up. If anyone's the idiot, it's me. I already have four children and I had horrific sickness with them so I knew this was coming. You just forget how bad it is though :( you're not going to hell. I actually had a termination at this point last year as I just couldn't cope.

It's fucking relentless and other people don't seem to understand.

I was like this with dd. The travel sickness bands (seabands?) really did help me.

Itsallwhite · 09/12/2018 12:26

They say the worse you feel, the stronger the baby :) I'm 9 weeks and sleep doesn't stop the sickness!

christmascrazyalways · 09/12/2018 13:08

I second this! I’ve felt like I’ve got the worlds worst hangover... the nausea and no energy seems never ending!

I haven’t told work yet but if this carries on I think my announcement will be sooner rather than later Hmm

Ginger Biscuit for you all Grin

stackhead · 09/12/2018 13:37

@christmascrazyalways I've already had to tell work. I've told my manager and asked her to keep it quiet!

christmascrazyalways · 09/12/2018 14:03

@stackhead yep I think I will say tomorrow...

My manager has the biggest mouth and I’m hoping he can keep it quiet at least until my private scan in 2 weeks - I’m only 8 weeks at the mo

gossipgirl28 · 09/12/2018 17:00

Hi, this was me between weeks 8-11. I was in bed all day, feeling nauseous, hugely hungover and just I'll. It was the worst I felt in my life!
I got prescribed cyclizine which helped so much and I was signed off work for a month as I just couldn't do anything. Everything was an effort such as showering, getting a drink etc. Food was my enemy but saviour at the same time. But...
It honestly does get better. Hang on in there. I suddenly started feeling better at the start of week 12.
Now 13.5 weeks and I'm slowly cutting down on the sickness medication.
Hope you feel more like yourself soon, the early weeks are hard but you will get back to feeling normal
Xoxo

Thank you gossipgirl! So glad you're feeling more human xx
