It will be my DPs 30th birthday next month and I had booked a weekend trip to Edinburgh however, I’ve had quite a rough and unpredictable pregnancy so far with lots of sickness, nausea, constipation and of course, the delightful heartburn. So we’ve decided to cancel as I’m still hit and miss at 22 weeks (although feeling better atm)

I was thinking of a Spa day/weekend but he’s keen to book me one for me for my birthday (In April) I live in the North of England and ideally would prefer something around here incase I have a funny turn!

Last year I did arrange Iceland for his 29th (I must have known!) but with this birthday being a special one, I really wanted to do something nice for him as he’s been fab throughout the pregnancy. Have any of you lovely ladies got any ideas of what I could look into/book? I’ll be around 28 weeks pregnant.

Is there a really nice hotel close to you that you’d love to stay in but wouldn’t usually have any reason to as it’s so close to home? That could be nice as you’d still have a night or two “away” but you wouldn’t have to face travelling.

Or maybe do the spa day anyway because really can you have too many spa days? 😄

Alternatively, could you plan something after the baby is born? Do you have someone who could babysit while you get away for a night or two? I know it’s a while after his birthday but it would be something to look forward to and you could still go for a meal or something to celebrate around the time of his birthday.

My partner is turning 30 next weekend (I'll be 35 weeks pregnant then). We're going to Arran to a Spa resort for some relaxing, walks (if the weather permits) and to try same archery, which I know he's been wanting to try for a long time. However I've been quite lucky with my pregnancy and as long as I slow down from time to time, I can do most things. But don't feel the pressure to book anything that is too tiring for you, he won't enjoy that either. And obviously it depends on what he likes - we've had such a busy couple of months that relaxing in a spa and getting a break is something I know he'll really appreciate.
