Bleeding & cramps - is this 'normal'

I'm 9 weeks & 1 day. Booking in app next Thurs & 12 week scan 24th Dec.

Had an early scan when I was 5 weeks 3 days & all good then (private scan).

TMI but used my vibrator yesterday & had some light spotting which stopped. Had sex last night & again light bleeding. Stopped but has started again this morning & has been continuous all day. It's like a light period & cramping.

Tried calling early pregnancy until but no reply to voicemail as yet.

Trying not to worry but not sure if this is 'normal'?

Bleeding and cramping can each separately be normal, but together is generally a bad sign. Are you able to do drop in appointments at your EPU? I hope everything works out OK for you, but if it doesn't, please realise that sex and vibrators don't cause miscarriages. It's either meant to be or it isn't, but nothing you've done has affected the outcome either way xx

Ring up your nearest maternity unit, they won't see you until you're 16 weeks but either will refer you to gynacology or an early pregnancy unit. I was told to always check any bleeding because it's common but not normal. Hope everything is ok.

Thank you for replying. The bleeding has now got heavier & it's very red blood compared to brown/pink earlier. Going to call up the early pregnancy unit tomorrow & hopefully pop in. My partner is saying not to think the worst but seems that's the way it's going.
