god loads of stuff

but we hadn't tried out the mp3 player before

so it got stuck on the fiurst track - coldplay rush of blood to the head

neither dh nor midwife noticed

an hour in i swore a bit about it

No, took music in with me when in labour with dd1 but really didn't want it on - never bothered with subsequent ones! I just found that any sound irritated the hell out of me

Had the radio on for DD during labour, but changed room before I actually gave birth so no music - gas n air made it sound like it was stuck on Eminem and I told DH to call the radio station and tell them

DS was born to whatever what was on sky one or 2 at the time Possibly the Simpsons knowing my luck! (Is there any way to find out what was showing at 7.30am in feb 2006??)

MuminBrum · 24/06/2007 14:26

Didn't bother, I just knew that extraneous noise would just irritate me!

I was vaguely wondering the same thing, first of all should I bother full stop, and second of all what sort of music? I'm generally into heavy metal, but maybe this wouldn't be appropriate for giving birth and maybe I should go for something a bit calmer?
