Early pregnancy symptoms

Hey
I was hoping some other new mums to be or mums would be able to put my mind at rest.

I am 4+3 days pregnant. Super early days! And this is my 2nd pregnancy but sadly lost my first at 11weeks due to a missed miscarriage. I am so excited to be back here but am also freaking out at my pregnancy symptoms!

So my symptoms this last week is the copper taste and lots of saliva, I also have really sore boobs! Which I think are good symptoms!
However since implantation I’ve had a little niggle in my left side groin/lower ab which came and went a few times. Today it is back and I keep feeling it! It’s not like AF cramps more like bruising or tugging maybe even like a blood vessel pulsing I can’t quite explain the feeling!

Did anyone else experience these weird discomforts and if so did you or are u having a healthy pregnancy?

Thanks xx

I had cramping on my left side for most of the first trimester which worried me as I had no real pregnancy symptoms ( no morning sickness or tender boobs) but had a healthy uneventful pregnancy, was told it was cramping from implantation and uturus prepareing for baby

If your worried or unsure about anything call your midwife, they are there to support you.

Thank you for the reply that’s really good to know! It has pretty much gone today so hoping it was just a one off like u said implantation/uterus. Am really anxious I’m freaking out on every twinge! Trying to stay calm and enjoy it but until I get a scan I think I’ll be on edge! Xx

I used to get pains in lower left groin area, like a dull ache and it really worried me. I did pay for an early scan at 8 weeks as it was making me worried and it's hard to know what's normal with your first. I'm now 17+6 and all going smoothly so far. Hope all does well for you

There's no harm in getting a scan if it will put your mind at ease it a wonderful and worrying time being pregnant and the less stress you are under the better..

Hope you get a scan soon to out your mind at as and all is well.

Hi,

We asked a midwife about common early pregnancy symptoms - she explains them all here.

Hope you find it helpful.

Yes. I had these throughout first and some if second trimester. Like a stretching feeling. It settles.
