ExcitedForChristmas18 · 07/12/2018 21:27

I agree..that is no faint line..congratulations!! What a lovely time to find out 😀

SoyDora · 07/12/2018 21:27

That’s not even remotely faint, it’s a very clear line!

sunshinebaby2018 · 07/12/2018 21:30

Thank you much- i am so anxious about it I have all period pains and swollen breasts and been so emotional this week. This is a cheap BOOTS test The faint line didn't show straight away I left it on the table for a while- do you think this might have changed the result? Sorry to be so unsure- I just don't feel pregnant at all I feel I will get my period any second!

The symptoms you described are also early pregnancy signs. No denying that line, but if you are still unsure test again first thing in the morning Smile

Ozziewozzie · 07/12/2018 21:54

That is so definately a positive test. Congratulations. I’ve had much fainter before and have babies to show for it.
It’s perfectly normal to feel as though your period is on its way. It can feel like that for a while but it’s just things stretching etc. Hormones are hitting the roof, and boobies getting prepared. Flowers

FannyAndMoonFace · 07/12/2018 21:55

Definitely a positive result, congratulations!

Hairgician · 07/12/2018 22:36

Defo positive! Used one of tbose myself today and p due today/tmw. Got a shadow of a line so bought a frer and far better line on it!

sunshinebaby2018 · 07/12/2018 22:39

@Ozziewozzie what about abdominal pains? Totally feel like period is coming was even going to use a period pad before sleeping tonight I am so sure I will get my period - we have been TTC for 9 months so very nervous. Thank you my dear x

Mine was about the same as yours, and that was 2 days after AF was due. Congratulations!

Hairgician · 08/12/2018 11:11

Frer = first response early detection test.
If you are getting a strong line on a 'cheapy' then it will defo appear on a frer.

sunshinebaby2018 · 08/12/2018 14:27

Just did a second test a clear blue- this is positive right? Still feel period pains - even getting stronger! Do I run to the doctors tomorrow for a blood test or contact my gynaikologist? Thank you - I want to be happy but Still so nervous!!ThanksThanks

Yes that’s positive. You don’t need to go to either your GP for a blood test (they won’t go one anyway) or a gynaecologist. If you have positive pregnancy tests, then in absence of any evidence to the contrary (eg bleeding) you are seen as pregnant!
The best thing to do is to call your GP surgery and ask how you go about getting a booking in appointment with the midwife, which usually happens around the 8-10 week mark.

ExcitedForChristmas18 · 08/12/2018 14:38

Yes everything that Soy has said..
Congratulations..how exciting 😊

DoingMyBest2010 · 08/12/2018 14:38

Congratulations OP!

Just wanted to say re: period pains, these can be totally normal in early pregnancy. They were actually my first sign I was pregnant with my DC1... I was so sure that my period was coming as I had this cramping, but little did I know it was something else causing it! On reflection it was slightly different to my usual period pains, but the difference was quite subtle so I didn't realise it at the time.

Ozziewozzie · 09/12/2018 08:57

Pains are normal. It’s safe to take paracetamol too if you need to. Also, your digestive system massively slows down to allow for your body to be more efficient at absorbing nutrients for baby and you. This can cause bloating, wind, tummy pains, constipation. It’s a glamorous life being pregnant. Dignity straight out the window. Blush

Yakadee · 09/12/2018 09:00

Congratulations. Period type pains and sore boobs were my first signs so very common.

All the best xx

sunshinebaby2018 · 11/12/2018 21:00
