Hi all,

I'm 18 weeks now and have completely lost all pregnancy symptoms (except the occasional bout of heartburn here and there?)

I don't have a bump yet, people are actually telling me I've lost weight more than anything and I don't have any sickness anymore or any aversions to food.

This is my first pregnancy and I know I shouldn't worry, but it's at the back of my mind!

Can somebody please share their experiences so I can feel a little more reassured?

Thanks so much :(

Bump

My bump didn’t really appear until around 22-23 weeks.

I also didn’t have many pregnancy symptoms - no sickness, sore boobs etc...had the odd twinge here and there but nothing too extreme.

Only put on a few pounds by that point.

I’m now 30 weeks and baby is just perfect Smile!

Sure all is fine but if you are worried then contact your midwife who I am sure will be able to put your mind at ease xx

I had a fairly symptomless pregnancy but during my first trimester I just felt generally a bit shit and exhausted - no sickness for me at all. I remember 18 weeks as real turning point and I suddenly felt great and did pretty much up until a few weeks before I gave birth when my hips loosened. My hair and skin were great and I felt generally really well. I used to panic about my lack of symptoms but I was just lucky I guess - I’m sure I’ll be punished if I have another pregnancy.

I didn’t put on that much weight either during my pregnancy which was I was rather smug about - however, the pounds have found me post birth when sugar was used to compensate for tiredness.

If you feel that things have change done to the degree that you are worried then please check in with your midwife.

This is your pregnancy, unique to you so always get medical advice.

Chances are everything is fine but sometimes things are not and the sooner you get seen the sooner you can be reassured.

Thank you all.

I heard the heartbeat on the 28th, it was very loud and strong.

Just this week I feel not pregnant at all, got my 20 week scan on the 19th.

I don't know what to do, I don't want to ring the midwife and waste anybody's time if technically I'm not feeling bad if that makes sense?

I'm 17 weeks and my pregnancy symptoms have been gone for a few weeks now. I had a scan on Monday and saw baby and heard her heart beat so I know all ok. I've lost about 2 stone since becoming pregnant due to not being able to eat, but have since got my appetite back thankfully :) also this is my first and no bump really so to speak of. If I hadn't lost the weight it would just look like I have a tummy rather than a bump. I'm not worrying unless I get really painful pains or bleeding and that's advice a friend got who is also pregnant and had the same worries ( with slight pains included)

Have you had any back pains or feelings of cramp? It may not seem like a pregnancy symptom but it is :) I'm sure all's ok but if your worried I'm sure no one will think anything for you being cautious and asking.

Xx

It may be due to entering the second trimester, the placenta takes over the hormone production which can make things like sickness settle down. This is around the same time my nausea went away and I started to feel much better. I got my appetite back and didn’t feel as tired as I did in the first trimester. Thankfully it has not returned and I am now 32 weeks.

I'm also 18 weeks pregnant and symptoms have gone other than severe constipation 😭 I was also worried by lack or symptoms but when I read up I think it's quite common. My sister had no symptoms throughout her whole pregnancy and didn't worry once. I think it's more when you have them and they disappear but from what I've read it seems quite normal for that to happen about this time

You’ve reached the lovely middle bit where you’re not first trimester knackered and shit feeling, but not yet third trimester knackered and shit feeling!

But really, if you are worried talk to your midwife to put your mind at rest.

Don’t worry! Lack of symptoms at this stage is something to enjoy. Your scan will be soon and then you’ll be in suffering again soon enough in 3rd tri :)
