Best treatment for headlice when pregnant?

Just discovered the little blighters and all the treatments in the supermarket say seek medical advice if pregnant - probably would be fine to use, but I'd rather avoid if I can find an alternative.

Anyone find anything which works?

Lots of conditioner and a Nitty Gritty comb. Do it daily for a week and you should be clear without any chemicals.

How long is your hair? I have successfully treated my DD for 2 separate lots of the little blighters, using nothing stronger than a Nitty Gritty & several bottles of conditioner. Her hair is extremely thick, curly, & long.

TBH it was around that time that I finally cut mine really short. I didn't have the energy to do the both of us otherwise!

My hair is quite long, but straight and not too thick so hopefully combing is possible. The DC (who I strongly suspect brought this little gift home from school) both have short hair, which is probably why we've got away with not catching them before and should make them easier to deal with.

Definitely conditioner and Nitty Gritty. It’s the best treatment whether you are pregnant or not.
