Just wondering if anyone has used this and what they thought of it?

To be honest the tens machine didn't help me at all, was just awkward and uncomfortable .. the diar morphine was a godsend though

I bought one from Boots about 3 years ago. I found it great. I used it in early labour at home and when I first got to hospital. It gave me something to focus on. I only took it off to go in the pool.

I used it and it helped me. I didn't think it was doing a lot until after I took it off before getting in the pool and has a contraction Inbetween. I also found it something to focus my mind on, using the boost button when contractions came.

I hired one from Boots and it was absolutely amazing for me - it was the only form of pain relief I used/needed! Laboured all day at home using it and bouncing on my ball then made my way to hospital and was 6cm. I also loved the fact that you actually have to “do something” in pressing the button - gave me a much needed sense of control...Will be getting one again for dc due in March.

I used one for labouring at home and got to 4cm and then switched to gas and air in the hospital. Had to lay on my back to be monitored from 3cm and I found this so much more painful than moving around and bouncing on the ball with the tens. I would definitely use it again.

Thanks all! Do you think it would be worth using if induced? Or does it work best when built up over time?

I paid £40 for it....how much have others paid to hire one?

You probably know this, but I didn't, they send you a voucher after you've paid to then order it from the the supplier, so not as quick to get it. I completely forgot I had it when I went into labour, but in hindsight wish I'd bought one and the resold to make some money back
