Pregnancy yoga, aqua natal class, normal swimming or something else?

Pretty much what it says on the tin. I fee I should stay active during pregnancy but yoga or aqua natal classes? Or is just swimming like normal equally good?

Swimming is fine. Anything you could do before pregnancy is fine. I personally found prenancy-specific workouts too gentle compared to what I was used to sonot really depends what your starting point is fitnes-wise.

Depends what you’re after.
Pregnancy yoga is amazing but you might find it too gentle at the start and need to do something alongside it (changes when you’ve got a massive bump) it’s great for other things though, keeping you calm, practising breathing, meeting other mums.

I did pregnancy yoga when I was 20 weeks until I was 41 weeks! I loved it and it helped with the labour and birth so much! I did it all naturally without any drugs but used all the yoga and breathing techniques x

Ah. Relatively fit in a hiking kinda way thanks to the dog but I don’t run.

I’ve not been pregnant before but have had SPD from a sports injury and I’m aware that might make me more susceptible to it now so hoping to find something to help me keep that at bay.

I've been attending aquanatal classes since around 20 weeks. I suffer from pelvic girdle pain and honestly getting in that pool is the best I feel all week. I've also met a lovely group of fellow mums to be through the class as well :)

I have SPD and I was going to pregnancy yoga but it became too painful as so much is in the hips during the class.... if you do feel a lot of pain in this area the water based exercise might be better for you x
