I’m 36+3 and pregnant with my 4th. I’m getting sharp pains down below which catch my breath. Feels like pressure. I know baby is head down as had a growth scan yesterday. I don’t remember having these pains in my other pregnancies. It’s not contractions but wow they really hurt and feel uncomfortable. Is anyone else experiencing this or have experienced this towards the end?
Thanks

Yes i did, like being stabbed in the cervix!

CrabbyPatty · 05/12/2018 19:40

I think some call them 'fanny daggers' - they are mentioned in the book What To Expect WYAE (although by another name)

Armygirl · 05/12/2018 19:44

Thanks both! Yes being stabbed in the cervix and Fanny daggers both describe it very well 😆

Same here (also 36+3)! Depends on the position of baby's head...some of them really make me stop and grab onto the walls!

Hi, never posted on anything like this before but I’m really needing some personal experience stories or some advice. I’m 37+4 with our second child. Our existing child is 6 1/2 so feel new to pregnancy again. The last 3-4 days I’ve been getting what I think are Braxton Hicks, some days they are regularly and other days they come and go with ages between, however the last day or two I’ve been experiencing bad abdominal pains coming round from my back and sharp pains going down to my vagina. I must also add I was diagnosed with Polyhydramnios at 36 weeks where I was told there’s a higher chance of early labour. I was induced with my first due to a ruptured membrane so I don’t know what to look for going into natural labour.

Any experience/advice is appreciated, thanks ladiesSmile

hollymum14 it may be best to give your midwife A call and see what she says. Sounds like things could be starting to happen from what you’re saying. Good luck xx
