I was hoping to wait later on to have our 4d scan. But really can’t wait, so I’m booked in for 26 + 4 weeks pregnant. I am worrying that this is too early. So, was wondering when other people had their 4d scans. Did anyone have clear pictures at 26 weeks?

I’ve seen decent ones online! Thanks!

Hi sonographer here. I’ve taken some fantastic 4d images at 26 weeks so try not to worry. It really is all dependent upon baby being in the right position at the time of the scan though so fingers crossed it’s feeling cooperative. At least at 26+4 you’ve got loads of time for a second attempt it not and I think most scan places offer that free of charge these days

I think it's recommended from 27 weeks so you should be ok! Xx

I got once at 26w 3d and it was rubbish! She was still super skinny and her face resembled a cat skull 😂

I had one last week at 25 weeks and got some beautiful pictures and a good look at DD2. I also had one with DD1 around 30 weeks and also got some wonderful pictures.

Thank you everyone. Think I’m going to try and change to aroubd 29 weeks. Which seems so far away ☹️ But I don’t want to waste a scan.

Maybe 28 weeks 😉 just to let her fatten up a bit

28 would be better, still gives a while for a rescan if needed. Once you get over 30 it can be very difficult

@MadameJosephine thank you! Got booked in for 28 weeks. I’m hoping it looks ok! 🤞
