Im 15 weeks with dc#2 and have a bump already so ive bought some meternity jeans to wear for a party tonight, the trouble is how do you keep them up?
They feel as if they are falling down all the time when im walking???

There is a small window of opportunity to wear maternity jeans - when your bump is neither too small nor too big! I think 15 weeks might be outside that window! Break out the safety pins.

I never did figure it out. Just kept hitching them up / flashing builder's bum.
Very flattering!

Thanks, My normal pants and jeans are to tight so i thought this would be the perfect solution, obviously not

Maybe you can somehow tuck them into your knickers
Hey, just realised my knickers no longer do the annoying 'roll down' thing - fantastic!
Enjoy your party

ah

you want belly ups

i shall seek a link...

Tutter · 23/06/2007 18:24

here you go

work really well with under bump trousers/skirts

ejt1764 · 23/06/2007 18:27

or a bumpband - I wear mine both with my noraml trousers, and with maternity trousers to keep the infernal things up!

Also quite a good pelvic support!

DH bought me a belt, one of those canvas ones that don't have holes in but have a clip you slip the belt through, very adjustable. Have a pair of Topshop Maternity jeans with the stretchy fabric around the pockets. They kept falling down even though I'm getting bigger (pies plus baby). They are quite low slung jeans so the belt can do up quite comfortably around my hips.

you wil find everything slides down your bump if its started now good luck as it doesnt get easier

fillyjonk · 28/06/2007 15:12

oh this is the WORST part, i think

generally the worst part is clothes, i find. they are SO expensive and look like crap

my solution is to wear long skirts for the duration, tbh.

god we can send people to the moon, you've have thought we could sort this really.

fillyjonk · 28/06/2007 15:12

lol at braces

what a fine look that would be

Nbg · 28/06/2007 15:13

I've had to stick a belt on my Next jeans.
Its bloody mad. A belt on maternity jeans!

I ended up with about 5 safety pins down each side of the elastic to hold them in a bit, it seemed to work a bit but not very practical .
I think i'll have to either squueze into my normal pants for a while longer or get ones with a belt.
