Am I pregnant? Conflicting test results and spotting. Confused!! :(

Hey ladies, looking for some advice as I am driving myself crazy. Apologies in advance for the essay!

So on Sunday (2nd Nov) I had 5 faint positive tests from different HPT brands, both the sticks and strips. Tested again on Monday morning and could barely see anything so went to the doctors for advice, took a test there and the doctor said it was negative and gave a super helpful response - "There's no evidence that you're pregnant so either you were never pregnant, are having an early miscarriage, or your hormones are just not strong yet so test in another 7 days". Helpful, right?

Last night (Monday) I went to the loo and found some bright red spotting when I wiped. However today there has been barely any spotting during the day, only a little bit of brown blood when I wiped. I also took another test and there was a very faint positive line. About 30 minutes ago there was a little bright red blood when I wiped however there has been nothing on the pad or anything. If I am pregnant, from looking at the calendar I should be around 5 weeks and 2 days.

What do you ladies make of this? I am aware that the spotting may just be implantation bleeding or may be the start of something more sinister, I'm just really confused and fed up as I just want to know whether I am pregnant or not.

At 5 weeks pregnant, I'd expect pretty strong positives. Unless there's a chance you ovulated late and aren't as far along?

What else did you want the gp to do/ say? There really isn't a lot that can be done at that stage but wait and see. Nothing would be seen on a scan, for example.

You could try getting in touch with your local early pregnancy into which in some areas allow you to self refer.

Have you done another test? This sounds similar to my experience in June, the day after a had a pos test I started spotting for about 5 days then had heavy bleeding with a couple of clots. Went for a scan and my uterus was empty and the lining was thin. They monitored my hormone levels and they dropped consistently with those of a miscarriage. Think I was about 5 weeks.
