I was due my period 28th Nov, took a test and came back positive. I haven't yet seen a Dr however today I have started with stomach cramping similar to period pains and dull back ache. I have had no bleeding as of yet however my boobs no longer feel as sore as they have and I do not feel as sick as I have been doing! I'm really begging to worry and any help/advice is much apricated Sad

I've got cramps too. From the research I've done, it's very normal x

Theconifers25 · 04/12/2018 17:50

Yeah apparently it’s more common than not for symptoms to be intermittent.
Also the cramping is normal according to the opinions of ladies I know who have been pregnant.

Thank you both I just cant help but worry it just feels all too similar to my regular period and my mind keeps telling me that there is something wrong!

I had period like cramps regularly up until 15ish weeks. They felt quite strong particularly between 4 and 8 weeks to the point on several occasions I was convinced something was wrong. I’m now 37wks and all scans have been fine. I know it’s easy for me to say but try not to worry, it’s very common :)

The start of being pregnant always feels just like my period starting to me. Symptoms do come and go and I wouldn’t go much on that at four weeks.

I hope everything goes well.

My symptoms went too at that stage, I fully convinced myself I had lost the baby but she's 11 months old and fighting fit now! Good luck.

I feel a bit calmer, I was panicking a bit due to the fact my partner works away Monday to Friday and no one else knows but I’ve bit the bullet and told my mother and she’s told me the exact same!

Hi,

I have cramps too like period pain and back pain, I'm 5 weeks and got sent to a&e today they said it's pretty common but they had to send me up there just to make sure, I don't have sore boobs either I did a week or so ago but they're fine now!

I'm in the same boat as you I'm really worried but I think it's our bodies trying to adjust as it's early xx

Spargle · 04/12/2018 20:58

Whenever I get cramps, I tell myself that it’s my body stretching to accommodate the baby, and that it is a very good thing. I don’t think I ever quite trust myself 100%, but it does tend to reassure me a bit. It’s like a mantra to say in difficult times!

(Obviously you need to speak to a medical professional if you get any actual danger signs, but cramping is normal and probably good, although it does feel very worrying!)

Ozziewozzie · 04/12/2018 21:03

Cramping is perfectly normal. It’s your embryo embedding into your uterus etc and growing incredibly fast. Lots of women also get bleeding too. If you lay on your left side it can elieviate the uncomfortable feeling. It worked for me. Your midwife will reassure you when you book in around 9 weeks usually and you’ll get a date for your 12 week scan. Congratulations x

Before i knew I was pregnant, I had what I thought was spotting before my period and def had the usual cramps/back ache and I'm now 15 weeks!

Celebelly · 05/12/2018 10:30

At four weeks I barely had any symptoms, so I wouldn't worry too much. I had mild to moderate period cramping on and off through most of the first trimester along with back ache and I'm 30 weeks now. It felt like my period was coming for the first few weeks of pregnancy. Boob pain came and went too.

Am2791 · 06/12/2018 06:23

I'm 5 and half/6 weeks, I don't have sore bombs or sickness I'm a bit tired but that's about it nothing crazy. I'm also cramping and worried sick, I had a miscarriage in 2015 at 6 weeks after that I had 5 failed iui and 2 failed ivf cycles last month my doctor told me I wouldn't get pregnant with my eggs and now I am naturally.
Every little twinge or cramp I feel I think this is it I'm loosing my baby, I wish it was as easy as thinking positive, realising that it can be a good sign too and relaxing but it's really not. I think the only thing you can do is take it as easy as possible, wait and hope for the best easier said than done Ino. Good luck!
