What are my rights with returning to work after maternity leave if I don't want to go back to the same job?
My boss has said if I don't return after maternity leave for the first 12 weeks then I will have to pay my maternity pay back. Is this correct?
Also does it change things if it's written in a contract? I've never signed anything in a contract regarding returning to work after maternity but I've got a feeling they may try and sneak something into contracts as there's a few girls pregnant.
I work in a private day nursery and will just be getting statutory pay.
