Baby show in ExCel or Baby and Toddler show at Sandown Park

Hi all,

My EDD is 16/06/19. Baby show in ExCel is in March and the Baby and Toddler show at Sandown Park is in April so both are not too far from EDD.

I have read that the exhibitors offer good discount especially for large items.
I am wondering which of these two shows would have better discounts and more variety?
I am thinking of visiting both but then not sure if I should buy stuff at ExCel or may get better discounts at Sandown?

I’ve been to baby show at excel and I’ve been to baby & toddler show at event city. I’d recommend the baby show at excel, it’s much bigger and there was more choice. Discounts were the same but more exhibitors at baby show meant we could pick a deal that suited us.

Just be aware that most of the big brands aren’t there themselves and they sold by a big baby company like baby planet. I’d recommend looking into these before you go to make sure they are stable, I bought from kiddisave at the excel baby show a couple of years ago and they went bust after and a lot of people had to fight to get the items or the money back.

Congratulations!

As Sparkle said, they're usually sold though another company. I bought the extension seat for my Bugaboo Donkey at a baby show back in early Sept and it's only been shipped today, so whichever you go to make sure you have confirmation of delivery times. It's been okay for me because I'm not due until early Feb and I was just impatient Grin but would have been v pissed if this was baby number one and I'd been shopping close-ish to my due date.

I've been to both exhibition centres for different events plus the baby show at Sandown Park. Sandown Park as a venue has some accessibility issues and so does the nearest train station.

Also personally unless I had free tickets again I wouldn't go to a baby show at all, as while you get discounts at the show you can source stuff yourself with the same discounts that arrive within a week of ordering them.

Neither. You end up buying a load of unnecessary crap!

We went to the one at Sandown. I found it all a bit overwhelming and was glad I had a shopping list - I knew exactly what I wanted and just went to get a discount. We got the pram, car seat and crib there. Ordered in April but didn't arrive until July which was fine for us but something to keep in mind.

Just don't get sucked in with all the random crap!

If you don't mind a display item and can pay there and then and take it with you then I suggest you go on last day and towards the closing hours and get yourself a bargain especially if you after pram or similar larger item..Excel will be more busy and probably with more exhibitors..we recently went to Birmingham show I originally planned to buy second hand pram but ended up buying the display mamas and papas travel system with car seat and few extras like footmuff and bag all for £250 but you need to be prepared to not just pay in full but to also take it with you when you leave on that day..
