I've been TTC for so many years and now I'm finally pregnant it's been the most exciting & happy time for me... but I'm now starting to freak out a bit the closer my due date gets.
Wondering if I'll be able to do it, if I'll be a good Mum, if I'll know how to change a nappy. All probably silly things but wondering if anyone else feels the same?

No I'm pregnant with my 4th and I'm freaking out as had my other 3 in hospital 2 induced and my other was a long labour. I am freaking out that my waters will break at home and j won't make it the hospital..

Me too. It's number 2 but I've been really up and down with this pregnancy. Now I've less than 8 weeks to go, it seems like a stupid idea! Upsetting the routine and balance, and we were just getting in to some sense of normality and financial security again!

I'd say it's a mix of terror and excitement with 8 weeks to go.

The project side of me says I'm managing it in a pragmatic manner with courses and books (even a baby first aid course), then I start contingency planning and realise that there's too many outcomes to plan for and I'm just going to have to roll with it.

My current mantra is that I'm the offspring of hundreds of generations of people who survived long enough to breed in often less than ideal circumstances so it must be doable.

3 weeks to go with my first and it's suddenly starting to dawn on me what's happening 🙈 midwife said baby is head down and engaged today and I should get my hospital bag ready. I'm so not prepared!

4 weeks to go and I keep telling my MW I'm not sure if I'm just really relaxed or burying my head in the sand. It's slowly dawning on me that I am infact an ostrich. I was talking about doing "eviction proceedings" from 37 weeks to try and get bump to make an appearance before Christmas but I'm now talking about keeping my legs crossed until gone 40. Using Christmas and New Year as an excuse but deep down I know it's down to my subconscious panic of the fact there will be a baby. The actual labour isn't phasing me in the slightest bit there's definitely a little voice going aaaahhhhh in my head that I'm rapidly silencing with overplanning and organisation x

I’m due tomorrow with baby #1. Stuff this, I’ve had enough. Hopefully you ladies will be like me closer to the date and be so fed up of pregnancy that you’ll feel ready for it. I’m bored of waiting and I can’t make any plans, ether way I’m too tired to. I’m lying awake every night panicking about birth and googling labour symptoms...I’ve never changed a nappy before but I figured there’s only so many ways you can fail at it.
