Hi everyone, just wanting to rant really. Am nearly 41 weeks and am so fed up. No sign of baby, no show. Some braxton hicks every now and then but that's been going on for weeks. Feel like my life is on hold at the moment just waiting. Also I am being very negative, thinking that each day that goes by is one more day of my maternity leave gone for no reason (I know this is not a rational way to think!).
Sorry am beginning to just feel really sad and tearful all the time. Anyone else want to offload with me?

Not now, but I was there not long ago... it's horrible.. not too much longer for you I hope x

I’m 10 days over and definitely agree with the wasted maternity leave!
It’s the not knowing when it will happen that’s getting to me

Emma198 · 02/12/2018 20:19

I'm 41 weeks tomorrow. Had 2nd failed sweep today. Some cramping but very little else going on 😭😭

Hengine · 02/12/2018 20:29

I didn’t get a sweep, I just didn’t feel like it was going to do anything!
No signs at all that things might happen soon

applecatchers36 · 02/12/2018 20:36

Can I join 40+4 and done with pregnancy, yes also feeling fed up. Midwife couldn't do a sweep as babies head hadn't engaged. Haven't got any plans for week as just waiting for DDay. No real signs a few Braxton Hicks but doesn't develop into anything more....

Snap! Sort of!

I'm 40+3 with a humongous baby! I was booked for an induction (just my waters breaking actually as I'm already dilating) on Saturday and it was cancelled because they didn't have enough staff. They rang at 7am this morning saying come in and I was sent away again because of limited staff! So frustrating!

I had a mini mummy to be meltdown of frustration whilst there today!!

Emma198 · 02/12/2018 20:51

@AB95 Shock how big do they reckon your baby is? X

Cocopops2010 · 02/12/2018 20:56

Sorry to hear so many of us in same boat! Any ideas on how to make the days pass more quickly? I am trying to get out of my overdue funk!

Long walk, might help babies on their way too!

AB95 · 02/12/2018 21:18

@Emma198 I've been measuring big from 20 weeks - above the 90th mark consistently - between 2 and 4 weeks ahead of schedule.

My scan on Thursday estimated him at being between 4300g and 4400g. They're trying to get him out before he reaches 4500g as that's my hospitals 'threshold' and they're worried about shoulder displacement during birth.

My partner is 6ft 4 so I'm blaming him! Here's little old me at 5ft 4 🙈

We did the Christmas decorating today to pass the time - glad actually as I'm sure we'd have skipped doing it once he's here!

Yep, I am fed up too. Really want the baby to come now but also don’t because I’m so scared of giving birth!
