Optrex Intensive eye drops - not safe in pregnancy?

I’ve been using these for several months for dry eyes and just found out I’m about 7 weeks pregnant. The literature clearly says do not use in pregnancy or when breastfeeding and I’m worried about what damage I might have caused. GP not open today and can’t justify asking 111 - anyone have any experience or advice?

I asked the opticians I work with about this as I'm pregnant now, they said that a lot of eye drops have a preservative in it that's not meant to be great in pregnancy? The ones they recommended to me were a brand called HycoSan. Preservative free and safe to use! I wouldn't worry that you've done any damage at this early stage, the baby is feeding off the yolk sac and doesn't share a blood supply with you get Smile

Thanks so much - I have hycosan so will stick to that x
