Feeling guilty for phoning in sick

As the title says.... On top of the usual 25wk stage of pregnancy I've now got a cold... Luckily I've been day off the last two days so not had to worry about work. Was supposed to be in work today (retail) and after much deliberation I've just called in sick and now feel guilty. it's the first sat of sale and I know its going to be busy but I know if I went in I'd end up asking to come home which I think is worse.

You have to let yourself relax. If you need to call in the odd day sick then that’s what you have to do, I certainly did. You’re covered by a lot of maternity laws for sickness during pregnancy. Don’t feel guilty, I don’t think I would have lasted for one minute in retail when I was pregnant!

Try not to feel to guilty , I'm 15 weeks and been off sick more than I've been in work since I've become pregnant due to hyperemesis and bleeds. My baby and health come first and before being pregnant I'd not had a day off sick in over a year !
