Horrific morning sickness

I’m 8 weeks pregnant and had on, off nausea since I was 4 weeks and it’s becoming a constant since about 6 1/2 weeks, and yesterday I started throwing up!!

I’ve tried to eat dry toast before I get up, eating little and often (struggling as I don’t feel like eating) this worked until now!! I’ve also been wearing sickness bands but now they are ineffective!

I’m struggling to even get out of bed as I feel so ill and I have a 2 year old to look after!!

What can I do?? I feel because I’m not ‘that bad’ or I don’t have HG then she will just tell me to suffer! But it really is affecting my day to day life! I don’t think my DH can cope with me being like this for much longer!!

TIA

Go to your GP. You don't have to suffer. There are several different options to try.

Get thee to the GP! No need to put up with debilitating sickness. Get some anti-emetics and prepare for the 'have you tried ginger' brigade!
Thanks

I've had two HG pregnancies. The first I felt constant nausea throughout, would heave and retch all day long but rarely threw up. Could barely eat and was in bed as much as I could be.

Last pregnancy was sickness and vomiting all the way through plus all the above. eating made it worse tbh.

I was on medication for both which the gp happily prescribed. It didn't resolve it but help me at least get out of bed a function a bit more.

Sorry your suffering. It is grim to feel so ill Flowers

Thanks for your replies!!

I called 111 as I don’t think I can go on like this till Monday! Because I noticed I had vomited blood she was basically saying that if I don’t get a call back then an ambulance will be sent out 😳!! Bit extreme but luckily I got a call back and have a doctors appointment this evening! 🤞🏻 They can give me something to help xxx

@EvangelineTheStar 🙄 my husband told me I need to get out and have some fresh air as that will make me feel better! Then he came back and threw me a pack of ginger nuts lol I know he means well but I seriously wanted to punch him in the face haha xx

Hope the appointment goes well. Morning sickness can be so debilitating it hard for people to understand. Hope you feel a bit better.

I feel your pain. I’m 16 weeks, I’ve been nauseous constantly since 4 weeks and it’s really getting me down (don’t worry, for most women I don’t think it lasts this long I’m just unlucky!). I also feel like I have no right to moan as 1) I’m pregnant and I know some people would love to be in my position so I feel like it’s ungrateful to complain and 2) I also don’t have HG so it’s not as bad as it could be. I also feel like everyone thinks I’m exaggerating/being over dramatic and is fed up of me moaning! All in all I’m just not having much fun at the moment. It’s good to hear others talking about medication as I was determined not to try anything but you’ve convinced me to make another doctors appointment. Good luck I hope yours goes away soon! X
