Egg prams

I posted this under pushchairs but didn't get many responses.

I'm currently 25 weeks with DD2, but DD1 will only just be 15 months when she arrives, so I'm looking to get a double pram.

My house is too small for a side by side, so after scouring the internet the Egg Tandem seems like a good choice for us.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has one and if you could give me your pros and cons of using yours. Smile

Hi! I can't help loads but thought I would reply, my friend has an egg pram and loves it
It will be what I get
So gorg and handy!!

I haven't had an egg pram, but I have used some doubles (14 month gap) and I found that even though the idea of tandems was fab and was my first choice, the practicalities of it were rubbish. Too heavy to push, stacked children meant no basket space, difficult to manoeuvre.
I now have a side by side which is MUCH easier to manage.

I'd love a side by side @ThisUsernameSucks as they're much more versatile. But I've no where to store one upright and most are even too wide to fit through my front door, so my only choice is to get a tandem.

It is great, but it takes up as much, if not more, space than a collapsible side-by-side. You have to take it apart to get in the car, which works for me but would irritate some.

On the plus side, it’s very solid and has nice wide seats. There are lots of options of arrangements for baby and toddler (we don’t use car seat and seat option as DS1 doesn’t life bring in the underneath position). Our DC are really happy in it.

Thanks @overandunder9 does it take up a lot of room in your car? We've got a Qashqai, so not sure if our boot would be big enough for everything. Xx

I would imagine that you would be fine with a Qashqai.

If you really want a side-by-side, what about a Mountain Buggy Duet OP? They're really narrow - the narrowest side by side and the fold is quite small (for a double!) too. Good basket and have a parent facing option for babies. I've recently bought a secondhand one, there are loads out there!

We've got a egg pram and found it to be a very solid pram, I was able to fit it in the boot when I had a fiesta, plenty of room in the basket underneath. Think you'd be fine fitting it in your car. X
