We have our NCT classes in two weeks and are doing a 2 day weekend course. Has anyone done these before and what do you actually do during the classes?

I really enjoyed our NCT. We did one a week and then an all day Saturday one. I didn’t find the content that useful as I ended up induced with an emc but the people I met were fab and 10 months later we’re still close. We really only did it for the social side, the info was an added bonus

The best thing was meeting other people having their first babies, so you got a bit of a gang together, and also the role play bit they did for what happens with a c section, explaining why there are 15 people in theatre with you! Took the anxiety out of my emcs after 48 hours non productive labour.

We've really enjoyed getting to know other people due at a similar time. I did know lots of what was said anyway, but it was good to share it with DH and we had some laughs with the others. I'm looking forward to meeting up socially now.

I think most people do NCT as a way to meet people. I found the info useful but by far the best thing was the friendships I’ve gained from it. It’s been 2 years since I did the course and I still regularly see the mums/kiddies even though I now work full time!
