Can endometriosis cause bleeding in early pregnancy?

I found out I’m pregnant this week (IVF, fresh transfer) but I’ve started bleeding. I’m 4 weeks, so still early.

The blood isn’t bright red, but more like a light red/orange/pink and quite watery. I do have cramps but nothing I’d say is out of the ordinary and pregnancy tests are still positive.

The clinic have advised me to test again Monday and get beta hCG blood tests done, but I suddenly had a thought - can endometriosis cause bleeding? In the panic of seeing blood I didn’t stop to think whether it could actually be endometriosis that’s causing the bleeding, with being on cyclogest pessaries...

Probably clutching at straws but wondered if anybody had any experience/thoughts.

Endometriosis causes bleeding when you're on your period. Your hypothalmus shuts off your period during pregnancy.

The bleeding is far more likely to be from implantation than from endometriosis. Also it is far far more common to have some bleeding during an ivf pregnancy (according to my fertility clinic).

I didn’t have any bleeding but my endometriosis caused severe cramping pains early in my pregnancy.

physicskate - that’s handy to know, thank you. I didn’t know if maybe the progesterone (cyclogest) is causing an interference with the endometriosis or not seeing as that thickens your lining. Someone has recently said bleeding is more common in an IVF pregnancy - why is this?!
The bleeding is definitely light pink now and very watery. Can’t make head nor tails of it.

raisinsraisins that makes sense... My endo causes a lot of backache, that’s a certain type of backache, and I’m getting this now but not quite as bad. I’m presuming that could be causing it?!
