NEARLY 4W PG AND ACHE/PAIN ON TUBELESS SIDE....

as most of you know i had an ep in feb along with several early mc's. Well, im 3+3 today, only just had pg confirmed and i have an ache on my tubeless side, no backache or stomach pain or even spotting but i'm a bit worried about it. anyone else experienced this?

I really think you need to speak to a medic, is there an early pregnancy unit at your hospital?

there is but thay cant scan me yet as im not far enough? could it just be stretching?

dont know what it could be hun.xx But if you phone the early pregnancy unit up they should atleast be able to put your mind atrest for you.. xx

Hi Lissie, congratulations! I am 5 wks pregnant and i do get mild cramps now & again. its normal to get this. if you are very worried talk to ur GP/midwife. I have posted a similar thread abt 'worrying' and the response has been great . its very reassuring to know everyone feels a bit worried and its normal and to know that you are not alone.

its just i dont remember having cramps with ds (did bleed a lot tho) but all my mcs have put a different spin on things. (congrats sush}

it may just be stretching pains and your just feeling it their more because of the surgery.

i have heard that women very rarely have become pregnant after ovulating on the tubeless side... i have no evidence to hand of this, just remember a conversation once!

i won't say the 'c' word, but i will think it and cross my fingers for you

Why don't you give the doctor/consultant a call justto put your mind at rest.

congrats, i had really bad cramping like period pain up until 12 weeks and i kept thinking that i was going to miscarriage because i had twice before, i can only advise to try not to worry tom much and stress yourself out, you should be ok, could you call you dr for a bit of reasurrance?

Hi, you may get more of this as the uterus stretches. I lost a tube to surgery years and years before I became pregnant and had several panicky moments during my first trimester when it felt like that whole side was cramping and I had such intense pain that I was sure I was miscarrying. I now think it was the scar tissue on that side which is obviously stiffer and has less give than normal muscle and flesh, but it doesn't feel like normal "stretching" pain so it was confusing. And I could not get a doctor or midwife to reassure me that it was the case -obviously not something they learn to recognise.
Now I am 30 weeks and that side is still the more tender as I get bigger.

thanks so could it just be that coz the surgery was relatively recent im still a bit tender then?

Would be my guess. The body seems to miss the bits that are taken out of it. I know your surgery is recent and so any scar tissue is not really that old but it is still part of you that has been cut open and messed about with.

i also had abdominal surgery in addition to the laproscopy to repair damage done to my bladder, so thinking about it, it could all be linked....

Hi Lissie

I had an ectopic and tube removed 4 years ago and had achy streching pains on that side with both DS1 and again early on in this pregnancy. I think I asked DH about 5 times a day for about 5 weeks which side was tubeless as I was panic stricken it was another ectopic. Sometimes it was a very sharp pain, others just an ache. It settled down after about 3 months, I'm 5.5months now and still get an occasional twinge. Apparently its very normal cos of the scar tissue and cos you're s bit lopsided. I had an ep and tube removed about three years ago, then got pregnant with DD three months later - the first inkling I had that I might be pregnant again was an aching pain on the tubeless side, just before my period was due. It didn't last very long, everything soon loosened up and I had a straightforward pregnancy.
