Chicco next to me - HELP!

I have just set up (well dh) the chicco next to me, we also have a sleepyehad deluxe which can go in for naps - but it suddenly occured to us last night - what about the duvet? I'm now terrified of smothering the baby! Due in January so don't want to be without a duvet - but safety first!
I would like the side down, so could tuck the duvet in the other side of the bed - but is there an obvious solution I am missing - what do others do? I don't want my own sleeping bag!

I slept with extra layers on my top half (dressing gown/ hoodies) and only had the duvet around my legs...... OH used the duvet as normal.

With my DD she slept in the sleepyhead in the Chicco. Side down. I never thought of my duvet as a problem but I suppose my baby had the barrier of the sleepyhead. I’m not sure there’s a need to worry - just tuck the duvet close to you.

When she was tiny we properly co slept for a couple of nights. Then I just put layers on and had duvet from waist down.

I’m due dd2 anytime now and we’re using the same set up. I’m really not worried about the duvet if that helps.

We had baby in Sleepyhead in a side cot - didn't feel dangerous with the duvet.

Thank you all - reassuring to read!
We were really excited and then thought - oh how does this work!

I had the same thoughts about the duvet going into the crib too, Also, don’t want to worry you....but I’ve also panicked about my pillow falling into the crib aswell as I sleep with 2 encase one gets pushed in on a restless night as a feel this could also happen! I’ve just been sleeping with the one pillow now! X

Better to think it through - not worried about pillow as baby will be below side table - but sone good tips!!
