i've no doubt that all you old hands know this already, but something i found out at my 2nd scan yesterday is that if you want to make your baby wriggle and fidget you should shovel down a good old bar of choc. the sugar hits him in around 10/15 minutes and off he goes.

while this is most likely not hot news to lots of folk, to novices (like me) and worriers (like me) it's an easy way to get a bit of reassurance if you've not felt much movement from your baby in a little while.

the fact that they recommended choc and not an apple is also handy of course......

And ice-cream too to make them wriggle (possibly not the 12 Snickers Ice Creams I ate in 3 days last week )

In fact, mint ice cream is said to be very good for heartburn - and it works in my experience.

But you do have to eat quite alot of it

there's worse things in life than eating a lot of ice cream.....

Ice cold water has then same effect!

On making the baby move, not heartburn...for that full fat milk is best, I find.

Also, if you eat lots of chocolate you'll have a more contented baby. Honest.
Lots of good reasons for eating it

IME chocolate gives babies wind if you are planning to bf (although I've been told on here that milk chocolate is worse than plain for that), so get it while you can!

Yes - and go to the cinema to see a film with shockingly loud bits. The baby will jump. Makes you realise they are coming out soon!
