Hi. I'm new here!

I'm after some advice as to how people coped with being pregnant again after suffering from missed miscarriage/miscarriage previously.

I lost last time in Sept at 8 + 3 but didn't know or have any signs of mc until I found out at 12 week scan.

Obviously I'm over joyed to be pregnant again but just feel I'm going to be constantly worried!

Xx

Hi.

I had a mmc in April at almost 12 weeks. Found out I’m pregnant again and am now 15 weeks.

Don’t know if it’s helpful, but I’m not going to lie - I’m barely coping! It’s a huge worry fest and even after having my dating scan I still can’t quite believe I’m going to have a baby at the end of all this. It’s like I’m subconsciously too scared to let myself think that far ahead.

My midwife said it’s perfectly normal to have feelings of trepidation after a loss but there is lots of help available. If it’s offered and you think it will help them accept it! Just being able to say that you’re worried or scared is a help.

Good luck with the pregnancy 😊

Lsorry to hear you had to go through this. We had something similar happen in June and I’m now 13+2.

I’ve really surprised myself with how calm I’ve been this time. It feels like it’s flown by! Theres a very supportive thread on here called pregnancy after miscarriage - there’s a lot of positive stories on there.

I also used Bach’s rescue remedy in the early days which really seemed to help. Distraction is a good coping technique too. Also try and remember that the odds are more in your favour than not!

Wishing you the best of luck and a happy and healthy rest of your pregnancy.

Thank you both for your comments.

I'll take a look at that thread - thanks!

Wishing you both luck in your pregnancies too x

I had a MMC in April at just under 12 weeks too and I am now 16 weeks tomorrow. I was very nervous at first. Had a scan at 7 which showed a heartbeat. I was shaking before & during! Felt much reassured after. Nervous again at 12 week scan but was perfect. And I’ve felt fine & not at all nervous since! I’m really excited and enjoying it all now. Good luck - hope all goes super well! X

@Melamine that's great!! Congratulations

I'm tempted to pay for an early scan privately just for reassurance!

I think once I'm past 12wks I'll settle too 😊
